The Ultimate Dermoscopy Training Course

Dermoscopy Online - Advanced International Certificate of Clinical Dermoscopy is a rigorous, image-rich online program designed to build diagnostic confidence and clinical accuracy. Developed by leading experts, it blends textbook learning, video instruction, and case-based analysis to prepare clinicians for advanced dermoscopic practice. Accreditation has been obtained with The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine  (ACRRM) with 55 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. This activity is pending approval with RACGP for 55 CPD hours. Completion of this certificate enables progression to the Diploma in Clinical Dermoscopy, which entails a further 32 hours of direct supervision at Rural and Remote Clinics across Australia with Skin Cancer Physicians through The Skin Cancer Doctor. Our goal is to bring readily accessible training to Rural and Remote Australia in particular; however it is suitable for any Dermatologist, General Practitioner, Registered Nurse or relevant health practitioner across the world.

Dermoscopy Online is an advanced educational initiative led by Dr Alan Jones, building on the clinical excellence of The Skin Cancer Doctor and Skin Patrol—leaders in management rural and remote skin cancer medicine and the corporate sector. Our mission is to elevate dermoscopic expertise across the healthcare spectrum, both in rural and remote Australia, as well as worldwide, empowering clinicians to achieve earlier detection and ultimate surgical management of skin cancer. Through a rigorously structured advanced certificate program delivering thousands of images, immersive mentorship, and case logging, we offer a measurable, competency-driven pathway designed for Dermatologists, General Practitioners, GP registrars, and nurses committed to clinical precision and improved patient outcomes. Our Mentorship undertaken in rural towns of Australia will deliver unprecedented volumes of cancer cases, fast tracking real world learning (commencing soon). Skin Patrol paved the way in 2004 being first to the market in the corporate sector. Providing workplace skin cancer screening, utilising teledermatology under the helm of Professor Peter Soyer (contributing author).

The Skin Cancer Doctor, founded in 2017 has established skin cancer clinics in 73 rural and remote towns throughout Queensland/NSW, where immediate surgical management is performed on skin cancers found. Queensland, is the melanoma and non melanoma skin cancer capital of the world. With our network of 30 doctors across the country delivering services to fight this battle at the coalface, we bring our world leading dermoscopy training program to the wider world audience. For our Australian delegates, we can offer in the field, high volume, real world dermoscopy and surgical cases providing the ultimate platform to consolidate course knowledge. Our course is lengthy by design, avoiding the need to purchase multiple courses to achieve the desired level of competence required to embark in the battle against skin cancer, as well as to enhance dermoscopy skills to a higher level. Lastly, we are proud to announce that we will join forces with Dermengine’s advanced image software platform with a complimentary account for all participants to aid in building the compulsory 20 case log and to manage cases in general for self or for referral.
